Nagoya Bee by Brett Angell

$175.00

Boston-based artist Brett Angell creates surrealistic collages within intricately reworked cigarette boxes. These artworks are part of a daily practice he started almost 20 years ago, in which he makes one box a day. Over the years, he has crafted nearly 900 unique cigarette boxes. The idea to use cigarette boxes as vessels for his collages came out of an interest in work that is domestically scaled and intimate, especially work that gets viewers to do a double take.
